“Why Business Matters to God” is addressed to Christians. Jeff Van Duzer, now Provost of Seattle Pacific University and formerly Dean of its School of Business and Economics, suggests that Christians in business “have often been made to feel like second-class citizens in God’s kingdom” (page 9).
Work matters because it is one of the most profound expressions of our humanity. Consequently, since humanity, for the Christian, is created in God’s image, work is also a crucial matter of theological concern and investigation.
